Where Should I Find My Next Featured Contractors?
I get asked all the time who to call for accessibility work. Ramps, bathroom modifications, grab bars, the whole list. Most of the time, I can’t give a good answer, because I don’t know who’s doing it right in your town.
So I’m building a short list of vetted aging-in-place contractors, one city at a time. I’m starting in Lexington, KY. Where I go next depends on where people ask for it.
If you’re in Lexington
I’m already vetting there. Go to my Lexington contractor directory page and join the waitlist, and I’ll email you when there are names to share.
If you’re somewhere else
Put your zip code in the form below. I’m not promising a date or a city. I’m counting where the need is, so I know where to build next and where to start looking for contractors.
I’ll only email you about the directory, and I use your zip code only to see where people want it. Your info is never shared with contractors, only totals.
How the directory will work
- Two contractors per category. Bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor accessibility (ramps, handrails, walkways). You get more than one option to compare, and nobody gets buried under fifty others.
- Featured contractors pay to be here. It’s a flat monthly fee, with no per-lead charges and no paying extra to move up the list. I’m telling you that up front so you can weigh it for yourself.
- What “vetted” means. I verify each contractor’s required licenses, then look at their past work to make sure it’s the kind of accessibility work they’d be listed for.
- No guarantees. I’m not guaranteeing anyone’s work. I’m putting a short list and the right questions in front of you.
- No spam. I won’t call you, and neither will the contractors, unless you reach out to them first.
If you need someone now
Don’t wait on my list. Before you sign anything, ask every contractor:
- Are you licensed? Ask first, before you talk about the job.
- Have you done accessibility work before? Ask for an example.
- Can I talk to a recent customer?
- Can I see proof of insurance before work starts?

Are you a contractor?
If you do this work in a city I’m building toward and want to be considered, email info@agingsafehome.com. Every contractor goes through the same vetting, and I won’t publish a name without their okay.
